Hold On To The Night

Whenever I lay awake at night,
and have a thought of you.
I wish that I could be so close,
to you at night, it's true.

I look up at the moon and think of you,
and remember you're so far away.
Whatever you do, wherever you go,
I'll always be yours to stay.

So hold on to the night,
I'll be with you so soon.
No matter what, I'll wait,
a lifetime just for you.

As the sun rises, in the morning,
I get a feeling from above.
It's not so hard, because of you,
to know that it's true love.

Until that day, when you come back,
I promise I will try...
to get so close, to comfort you,
as the days go by.

When I dream, I dream of you,
and hope that you are well.
Then I wake, to realize,
you're cheerful like a bell.

So when I get, to hold you close,
and hear you speak your mind.
I'll know you cared, and loved me,
and you held on to the night.
