Two Hearts

Two Hearts
Written by: James Krolik

Two hearts beat as one
a sign of their love,
One love in their hearts,
a sign from above.

The essence of life,
from within her eyes.
My heart in her hands,
taken by surprise.

A beam of hope,
that love will endure.
Our love, an aura,
her presence, my cure.

The beating persists,
perpetually providing peace.
Being in her arms,
is like waves on the beach.

Harmonious together,
lasting until the end of time.
Her love will always be there,
and so will mine.

Two hearts beat as one,
a sign of their love.
Together, forever,
like a pair of doves.

Angel In My Arms

Angel In My Arms
Written by: James Krolik

An angel in my arms,
like a harp within a hand.
The twinkle in her eyes,
takes me to my promised land.

The love within our hearts,
each beat increases our love;
they glisten and radiate,
lighting the sky up above.

As we cuddle in a bunch,
our aura grows as one.
A match made in heaven,
shall never become undone.

Her life radiates my own,
mine returns the reflection.
A shooting star in the sky,
nature’s perfection.

The answer to my dreams,
the answer to my prayers,
the woman I have longed for
cuddles as I stare.

A life of hurt,
washed away by love.
The angel in my arms
is my gift from above.

Blossoming Love

Blossoming Love
Written by: James Krolik

As my orchid blooms,
my love for her shall grow.

As my rose’s fragrance populates the plain,
my love for her shall grow.

The scent of morning dew,
both tranquil and exhilarating,
like the presence of a loved one,
soothing.

The cool, docile breeze of mornings past,
whisking one’s wonders wayward into a former time,
like a recolection of a loved one
encouraging.

The flowerous qualities,
both growing and radiating,
like the love within my heart,
everlasting.

When She

When She
Written by: James Krolik
Dedicated to Katherine

I once met a woman
who filled my life with glee.
Little did I know,
she would make my heart consume me.

With all of my strength
and all of my might,
nothing could control my mind;
my heart was right.

When in the dark, she is my light;
When falling, my flight;
When lonely, my teddy;
When sick, my remedy;
When lost, my guide;
Together forever,
always by my side.

She is love, perfection, compassion, affection.
She is happy, beauty, selfless, a cutey.
She is my shining star and my crescent moon.
Whether day or night, I long for her sight.
I love her, unconditionally, eternally, compassionately.

I love her…

I Am Whole

I Am Whole
Written by: James Krolik

Whenever I am near you
all of my fears go away.
There is no one in this world
that can ever take your place.

As we sat on the beach,
and gazed at the stars.
My heart could only imagine
where fate would take our hearts.

When you are near,
all of my problems go away.
When I gaze into your eyes
words can’t express what I have to say.

I used to lay awake at night,
and dream about the future.
Why can’t I control these feelings?
Why can’t I go on without being beside her?

We’ve longed for one another,
and now with the obstacles out of the way,
We can open our hearts,
we can hear what they have to say.

Every sound of your voice,
every feeling you cherish,
every move that you make,
makes me feel like I’ve never felt before.

We used to talk for hours,
whether face-to-face or on the phone.
Although I may not have always been in your presence,
I have never felt alone.

You are my inspriation,
you are the bearer of my soul.
You breath life into my heart,
With you near me, I am whole.

Independence

Independence
Written by: James Krolik

On that cold winter night,
you led the troops through the blizzard of hell.
Over the Delaware River,
confronting your destiny,
you led your men to fight for your freedom.

The blizzard raged on, further freezing you and your men.
Dragging on, you persisted, bringing the hopes of
early Americans with you;
they knew,
they knew you would not let them down.

With the support of pre-America,
you continued on, into battle,
to ultimately crush your foe.

Red skin, red coats, red blood.
War reigned, taking with it Britain’s rule.

If not for that one night, America would
probably not exist.
General, Mr. President, George, we salute you.
We salute you for all you have done
and creating the home in which we live.
Thank you for our indepencence.

Morning of Mourning

Morning of Mourning
Written by: James Krolik

America,
Land of the free,
Home of the brave.

Life forever changed when the heavens over New York City were set ablaze.
The earth trembled with questions of uncertainty: Who? How? And Why?

A modern ballistic of war, hijacked and shot into the heart of the world.

Land of the free; a term long used, but with meaning long forgotten.
Home of the brave; the valiant rushed to redeem the lives of the damned.

Tower one fell, bringing with it the feeling of a country long believed secure.
Tower two fell, taking with it the freedom our forefathers fought mortally for.

With a vengeance, leaders set out to find the commander of the martyrs from hell.

America,
Land of the melancholy,
Home of the scarred.

The Silence Within

The Silence Within
Written by: James Krolik

I am a simple man.
Born, raised, destined to die,
for death is everyone’s ultimate fate.

Living, growing, enduring
a society with a basis for everything,
long before ideas are even conceived.

A mold of life, if you will call it a mold.
Forever imprisoning your heart’s deepest desires,
and forever living within an idealistic barrier,
you must learn to endure as well as adapt.

Take a moment.
Close your eyes; question whether it is your heart’s desire;
if your heart wants to be a prisoner of society’s views.
I am certain your heart will decline the offer.

I say it is time to destroy the mold, to let our feelings run free.
The time has come to shatter the barrier.
Open your heart; express yourself;
stray from the path of societal ideas.

Let your desires run free; destroy the chain.
Follow your heart through your mind; find your destiny.
Pass this wisdom on; fufill your desire, for it has
been my destiny to unleash the silence within.

Shadow of A Stranger

Shadow of a Stranger
Written by: James Krolik

Night begins to fall
and you are a long way from home.

Silhouettes giggle and bustle
in the background as
you continue your walk
through the woods.

You hear a wolf cry
and begin to quiver in fear.
Run, run like the prey you are;
escape the threshold of death.

Madness begins to control your mind.
Over-exaggeration consumes your heart
and you begin to break down.

A light shines as you approach home.
Night begins to subside and you find your way home.
You check your children to make sure they are sleeping.
If only you would have checked behind you before you locked your door…

You were found slain in your bathroom by your son.
“Death shall reign; death to all who enter my woods”,
those truesome words were sprawled on the wall in your blood.
Beware the shadow of a stranger.

The Internal Carnival

The Internal Carnival
Written by: James Krolik

The mind
is a carnival.
Constantly turning
like a merry-go-round in motion.

Your life
is a concession stand.
Dealing both sweet and bitter.
With explosions and flare-ups,
like a kernel of corn, popping.

The heart
is a maze of mirrors.
Reflecting and misleading
when it seems a solution is near.

The mind
is a ferris wheel.
Round and turning forever more
as people enter and depart from your life.
Although insignificant, they still matter.

The mind is a carnival,
forever testing itself as well as the person that contains it.
The mind IS a carnival.
