I suppose I should have formally posted this about a month ago when I finally made the transition. Coming in the very near future, this entire layout will be gone from the site and everything will take place through the blogging interface. As I move things I will be taking sections down. Just a friendly heds up. So, to access what's going on, check out the Blog section on the left. Redoing the photo galleries for the fifth time is starting to become a real bitch.

Ahh life. To sum up the past two weeks, I've been working an ungodly amount of overtime (12-16hr days, including last Saturday until Midnight) and have just been completely burnt out. Hell, I didn't even touch my Xbox until yesterday. I'll have some extra time this weekend (finally!) so I'll get cracking on changing some of the things around I've been promising forever now.

I've started migrating my poems to the blog area so that all of you out there can comment on my work. Also, today marks my 3rd year anniversary with my current job. Hurray!

In other news, I'm still doing a lot of back-end work to the site. I'd like to get a huge portion of it redone by the time I move, which will be in early October.

Well, my vacation came to a close at the beginning of this week. Lots of fun, excitement, and sitting around not doing jack. I'm still working on getting back end things moving along, so there really isn't anything to report other than I am alive and well. Other than that, I've been spending time working on life and playing my Xbox. Sadly, nothing new to report there. Maybe I should just focus on one thing with the site and finish it rather than micro-managing thirty different things. Oh well, we shall see...

I have the framework in place for the smiley popup window to work like the one in my current guest book. I need to go through and sort out all of the ones I want and the ones I don't want and update the file. Please ignore the crudness for now. There's nothing like custom coding JavaScript functions at 5am to really start moving the day right along!

On a more fun note, I'm on vacation all next week so I'll have time to work on the site and really get things moving along! I already have a few things I'm planning on migrating and tweaking into the blogging software, like the news. As always, sit tight, and enjoy the ride!

Update: Well, I have the blog in a functional state. I've linked to it for those curious to see what it looks like. It's still a work in progress so none of you guy can mess with it just yet. Anyway, I see a few of the sections I have going getting consolidated into the blog as they would fit better there, such as the guest book. I still have some other things I want to tweak before I actually allow anyone to publish, like a pop-up with the smilies like my existing guest book has. Anyway, that's about it for today. I'll just keep working on it until I pass out. Once again, cheers!

The good news, I found some blogging software. The bad news, it's going to take me a few days to do what I have to do to make it run. So, I'll be overhauling part of the site to get it to blend in properly with my concoction. Regardless, I'll have an update by the end of the week. Cheers!

Blah! I'm slipping back into bad habits. I'm still locating blogging software so I can have my huge fanbase keep tabs on me. To bring everyone up to speed, I'm taking a certification exam tomorrow. For those interested, it's on Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 environment. Full details can be found here (link). So, I'm a tad stressed. Also, my Xbox 360 broke on me and is now sitting in Texas for a few weeks getting repaired. Oh well, what can a man do these days... Anyway, much better updates coming soon! Stay tuned!

Fixed a formatting issue with the time on the guest book.
All is well now.
Also added two photo galleries. One from my trip to Wyoming and one from when the Kwik-E-Mart was in
Chicago to promote the Simpson's movie.
Updated my biography. I need to organize my material as I think of it. Please forgive the lack of structure so far.

Fixed a coding error that was making the Home button take up twice the vertical space.
I'm still looking for a decent guest book, once I find a good one it will be up ASAP.
I decided to stop procrastinating. Behold, I have a shiny new guest book!
Now I just need to get my blog going...

Added pictures from my trip to California in 2004 and 2006, pictures from Bridgeport when the
Chicago White Sox won the world series in 2005, pictures from my trip to St. Louis in 2005, and
pictures from when Tim's son was born in January of this year.
As always, captions are coming soon!

Now that I have a decent amount of photos online, I'm going to work on adding more areas to the
site, like the blog and guestbook I've been mentioning for a few months now. Stay tuned!
